On September 18, 2010, 15 cooperative projects were signed on the Signing Ceremony for the Cooperation and Joining-programs of industry, academia and research between Xiangfan City and Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
Leaders of the two parties, Tang Liangzhi, Municipal Party Secretary, Li Xinhua, Vice- Party Secretary and Mayor, Yang Xuchun, Vice-mayor of Xiangfan, Lu Gang, Chairman of the University Board, and Li Peigen, President of HUST attended the signing ceremony.
Greater promotions could be made to the cooperation of the mutual programs of industry, academia and research. Tang Liangzhi said. Cooperating group could be enlarged, and the cooperative channels could be smoother. He also expressed that the grassroots units of Xiangfan would make opportunities for HUST faculty doing scientific research and developing program cooperation.
On the ceremony, Surpass Sun Electric Co. Ltd, Hubei, signed a cooperative agreement with Prof. Dai Ke of HUST. This was one of the 15 cooperative agreements.
