Prof. OUYANG Ziyuan, a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the chief scientist at the China Lunar Exploration Project (CLEP), delivered a report in the University of Science and Technology of China on 18 September 2010, saying China will confront the challenges of lunar exploration.
