Professor Delegation from the University of Iowa Paid a Visit

From July 4th to July 6th, a four-member delegation from the University of Iowa paid a visit to our university and met the leaders and representative teachers at School of Biotechnology, School of Food Science and Technology, School of Internet of Things and International Office. The two schools held detailed discussion on biomedical imaging technology, bio-chip technology, bioinformatics, inspection of food safety, monitoring technology, etc.

and aspects of cooperation in teaching and research. Professor Joseph Reinhardt, Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering, made an introduction of University of Iowa and its School of Biomedical Engineering and an academic lecture on bio-imaging technology. Professor Braun (Terry Braun) gave an academic lecture on biological information theory.

Professor Wang Xiaocun (William Wang) discussed the test centered on bio-chip, monitoring, diagnosis and treatment of micro-electronic system and the realization and industrialization of advanced technology in Wuxi.

During the visit, the professor delegation also visited School of Biotechnology, School of Food Science and Technology, some of the state key laboratories and works exhibition of graduate students of School of Design and its Design Gallery. American professors were greatly admired at the international level and modernization of laboratory facilities at our university and thought well of students imaginative designs, and expressed strong desire of exchanges and interdisciplinary cooperation in the future.

Vice President Wang Wu met the delegation and expressed the desire of establishing inter-school exchange and cooperation with the University of Iowa.
