Delegation from China Scholarship Council (CSC) Visited Tianjin University

On August, 17, a delegation from China Scholarship Council (CSC) headed by Deputy Secretary General, Ms. Yang Xinyu, and Director of the Division of Project Administration, Mr Li Hong, paid a visit to Tianjin University. President GONG Ke greeted the guests in his office. The Director of the International Cooperation Office (ICO), Professor Yang Fuling, and the Deputy Director, Dr.

Li Qiang, also attended the meeting. President Gong extended his warm welcome to the visitors and introduced to them the updated information of Tianjin University on its personnel training, teaching, research, international cooperation, etc. Ms.Yang Xinyu expressed her delight to revisit the first educational institution of high learning in China.

She introduced in details CSC s key schemes like the Postgraduate Program for Constructing First Class Universities in China and other major projects in 2007. She also showed her appreciation for the continued support from Tianjin University to CSC. During the visit, staff from ICO and CSC officials had seminars on the major programs from CSC.

CSC officials elaborate on their programs and answered questions in the implementation process of the CSC programs from ICO members.
