The 2nd International Graduate Scholarship Conference Held in Shanghai

On October 13, 2006, the 2nd International Graduate Scholarship Conference was held in Shanghai, co-sponsored by the China Scholarship Council, the Responsive Ph.D. Group, and Washington University in St. Louis. President GONG Ke was invited to attend the conference and exchanged ideas on international graduate education with Chancellor of Washington University in St.

Louis, President of US Council of Graduate Schools, and representatives from well-known American universities, including Harvard and Yale. 21 Chinese 985 universities and 15 leading research universities in the U.S.A. also participated in the conference. Ms. ZHANG Xiuqin, Secretary-General of China Scholarship Council, gave a cordial welcome speech at the banquet.
