TU Awards Honorary Doctorate to South Korean National Assembly Speaker

On November 19th, Kim Hyong-O, South Korea National Assembly Speaker headed a delegation consisting of 15 South Korean congressmen to visit Tianjin University and received his TU Honorary Doctorate Degree. Dr. Kim Hyong-O became the first foreign government official who receives this honor from Tianjin University.
On the Awarding Ceremony, Professor GONG Ke, president of Tianjin University, handed over the Certificate to Dr. Kim Hyong-O in person and extended warm congratulations on this award. In the following, Dr. Kim Hyong-O gave a speech on To Become World Youth who leads the Digital Age . In his speech, he expresses his sincere hope that both Chinese and Korean youths nourish higher aim and make great contribution to the world in the future.
Kim Hyong-O s visit to China was at the invitation of Wu Bangguo, NPC Standing Committee Chairman, and his visit to Tianjin University was part of that visit from November 18 to November 22.
