ARTA’s SPRING SEMINAR is planned for April 30-May 1, 2008, and will be held in conjunction with North Carolina State University at the Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club.
The seminar is entitled, “The Insider’s Guide II: Reusable Medical Textiles - The Role of Textiles and Successful Pack Room Operations,” and will focus on the specifics of running a successful healthcare laundry.
The seminar will cover the role of textiles during surgical intervention and how to develop a profitable packroom operation.
Attendance is limited to 200. Those interested in attending the seminar are encouraged to register early.
Gaining expertise in reusable surgical textiles is a subject of increasing importance to operators and hospital executives as hospitals place greater emphasis on reducing medical waste and finding “green” solutions.
In response to this need, the American Reusable Textile Association (ARTA) will hold its second seminar on reusable surgical textiles April 30 - May 1 in Durham, N.C. While our last seminar focused on processing and marketing, The Insider’s Guide II delves into the role of textiles during surgical intervention and how to develop a successful packroom operation. Sessions are geared to meet the needs of both novice and experienced operators.
ARTA was founded 25 years ago with a mission to create greater appreciation and acceptance for reusable textiles. Our members include a cross-section of the textile maintenance industry: commercial and institutional operators, allied associations, manufacturers, distributors and suppliers.
