The 29th International Cotton Conference will take place from 2nd to 5th April 2008 at the Town Hall of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen, Germany.
This bi-annual event is co-organised by the Bremen Cotton Exchange and the Fibre Institute Bremen. Every second year approximately 700 participants from almost 40 countries travel to Bremen.
The Bremen conference is one of the major cotton conferences and the leading conference on cotton testing methods. The conference traditionally focusses on the technical analysis of cotton, as well as the determination of fibre properties.
Further current topics, such as sustainable cotton production and the international harmonisation of cotton testing facilities and picking methods, are also discussed.
Seven sessions in two days cover the lifecycle of the most important raw textile fibre from the crop through to trade and processing.
