Philippines: Chinese 'Sagada oranges' draws hostility

Vice Mayor Richard Yodong is bent on addressing the misrepresentation of local products here and correcting the impression that products like huge oranges and grapes are from this highland town. Yodong said reports reaching them revealed fake "Sagada Oranges" and "Sagada grapes" are being peddled in the neighboring towns and Baguio City. The official clarified the huge Sunkist type oranges and the grapes are not from Sagada. These products are actually imported from China. This misrepresentation often causes confusion among tourists when they look for these products here.
