The city will stop district heating in buildings at midnight tonight, the Beijing News reported Monday.

Usually public heating continues from November 15 to March 15. Last year, heat remained on until March 22 due to unusual cold weather.

Although the city experienced cold winds on Sunday, temperatures are expected to rise after Wednesday. The office also claimed that they would monitor for future dips in temperature.
