Summer Palace society

Architects and historians joined forces to establish the Beijing Summer Palace Society research institute Sunday, whose efforts will be key to the preservation and research of the 18th century imperial garden, claimed experts.
The society, which currently boasts 88 members and 10 organizations, will advise on renovations of some parts of the complex in disrepair, the Beijing Youth Daily reported.
