A local woman surnamed Wang will reimburse her neighbor for over 760 yuan ($116) in medical bills after suffering a fright from two dogs, the Fengtai District Court ruled Sunday.

While waiting for the elevator, 58-year-old Gao was jolted when two stray dogs followed their caretaker Wang into the building and started barking, according to the Beijing Morning Post. Gao was in such shock she was rushed to the hospital with "numb limbs," the newspaper reported.

The court ruled that Wang, as the dogs' caretaker, was accountable for the animals.
