A home renovator confessed to murder during a trial at Beijing No.1 Intermediate Court Tuesday, after standing accused of killing his partner with a hammer and burying the corpse under the floor of a house three years ago, the Beijing News reported.
The worker named Zhang Wenjie, 33, alleged that he quarreled with his partner surnamed Guo who persuaded him to drink wine when they were renovating a Shu village home in Haidian district in January 2007.
During the quarrel, Zhang killed Guo and buried the body under the floor. Guo's corpse was found in May 2010 during a second renovation.
The court did not reach a verdict Tuesday.
