Spring Festival Get-together for Veteran Cadres Held in Hunan

Veteran leaders and artists give spectacular performances.

The CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Hunan Government held a Spring Festival get-together for veteran leaders from the organs directly under Hunan Provincial Government at the auditorium of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee on the morning of Jan. 29. Over 700 veteran leaders gathered to celebrate the New Year. Director of the Hunan Organization Department Huang Jianguo made a speech, sending his best wishes to the veteran leaders. Director of the Hunan Publicity Department Lu Jianping presided over the party.

Huang Jianguo stressed in his speech that the veteran leaders are valuable treasures for the Party and the country. They have made indelible contributions to the founding of the new China and the socialist construction. The CPC committees and governments at all levels should implement the policies and measures related to retired cadres promulgated by the central government and the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee so as to let them share the achievements of opening up and reform.
