Jinan Municipal Disabled Federation held the Propaganda and Educational Activity for the 11th National Ear Care Day

Recently, Jinan Municipal Disabled Federation held a propaganda and consultant activity for the 11th National Ear Care Day. The activity organized professional and technical personnel from nearly 20 medical treatment, rehabilitation, scientific research and education institutes as well as production and management units of artificial cochlear and hearing-aid.

Over 4000 introductory offers were given out and artificial cochlear knowledge were popularized and publicized to the public. 160 poor disabled children were offered hearing-aid of over 0.8 million yuan. Currently, there are 5808 hearing and speech disabilities covering 6.95% of the total amount of disabilities in the city.

By organizing social forces to participate in the propaganda and education activities of the National Ear Care Day, effects of professional medical, rehabilitation and education institutes and social organizations of academy and charity were given full play, and thick atmosphere of caring for and attaching importance to prevention and rehabilitation of hearing barrier were formed, which can help the hearing disabilities get effective rehabilitation.
