China Longyuan Held China Guodian 2010 Skill Competition of Wind Power Operation and Check

From Sept. 8 to 10, China Longyuan held China Guodian Skill Competition of Wind Power Operation and Check in Changchun, Jilin. Yang Haibin, Deputy GM and Member of Party Leadership Group of China Guodian Corporation and Director of the Organizing Committee of this competition, arrived at the competition and delivered an important speech on the Closing Ceremony. Other leaders also came to the competition, including Chen Naizhuo, Deputy Executive Director of Work Committee of China Guodian Corporation and Deputy Director of the Organizing Committee of this competition, Tian Shicun, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of China Longyuan, Wang Bin, Deputy Director of the Department of HR of China Guodian Corporation. Wang Jianting, leader of Discipline Inspection Group, Chairman of the Labor Union of China Longyuan and Chief Director of the General Office of this competition also attended the ceremony and made a summary. 69 contestants have participated in this competition, who are from 19 enterprises of China Longyuan, 3 enterprises of Guodian Power, 1 enterprise of Guodian Technology& Environment Group.

This competition is to implement the spirit of 2010 Work Conference of the Group Corporation and it is held to focus on the theme of constructing innovative enterprise through enterprise transformation led by new energy resources. The theme is also to promote the implementation of the strategy of strengthening the enterprise by talents development and to improve the professional theory and actual operational performance related to the operation and maintenance of wind turbine units in the group system. This competition consists of two parts: theory test and actual operation. Theory test mainly checks the effect of contestant's study of Management of the Operation of Wind Farm, Safety on Wind Farm, Basic Theory of Wind Generation and Maintenance and Repair of Wind Farm. For the actual operations, the competition mainly uses two types of wind turbines: wind turbines of 850kW (Gamesa) and wind turbines of 1500kW (United Power). Both of them are used for competitions of operation, equipment check and fault treatment.

In this competition, all contestants are serious and careful during their theory test. And in the competition of actual operations, they performed skillfully and calmly showing good performance and enthusiasm of duty workers of Wind Power Operation Check Group of China Guodian Corporation.

After fierce competition, the following top 6 excellent enterprises won the Team Price: Beijing Zhongneng United Innovation Wind Power Technology Co., Ltd., Inner Mongolia New Energy Development Co., Ltd. Of China Guodian Corporation, Longyuan (Bayan Nur) Wind Power Generation Co., Ltd, Xing anling(Yichun) Wind Power Generation Co., Ltd, Xinjiang Tianfeng Wind Power Generation Co., Ltd, and Chifeng Xinsheng Wind Power Co., Ltd. And the prize for the top 10 excellent contestants were awarded to Wang Jianguo, Song Zhongbo, Wu Yinga, Li Wenyan, Jiao Ridong, Chang Yaohua, Rong Xinghan, Li Jinhua, Zhou Liguang and Kang Yingjie. Meanwhile, they were honored as the Most Skillful Worker of China Guodian Corporation.

On the closing ceremony, Wang Jianting made a careful summary of this competition. He said, The whole success of the competition is mainly due to the following elements: first, leaders at each level paid close attention to it and established all the necessary organizations so as to ensure smooth implementation of the competition ; second, all the participating units made careful preparations and actively took part in the competition, in which a good atmosphere of studying and focusing on skills was created; third, it is organized in good order with clear measures to guarantee the fairness of the competition. Meanwhile, through this competition, it urged all staff to practice professional skills, to learn relevant post knowledge, to enhance the professional proficiency, to improve professional skills. As a result, the competition created a good atmosphere for respecting knowledge, talents, especially for talents of professional skills .

Yang Haibin also made an important speech. He said, "Wind power industry has become the important source of the Corporation s profit. The level of the operation management of wind power industry will greatly influence the performance of the group s entire operation. This competition is a great occasion of demonstrating the professional skills of wind power of the group.

It is a large inspection of the professional skills of wind power and the spirits of the group". He required that each unit should enhance the level of wind power operation management and increase the core competence of wind power industry of the group. We would train a wind power team with high performance so as to provide human resources for the rapidly developing wind power industry.
