With Confidence and Strength as its theme, the festival included 160 exhibitions from 38 countries and regions and showcased tens of thousands of works by 1800 photographers in 9 major venues. Seen in the exhibitions were the works by the photography majors from nearly 50 colleges and universities including Beijing Film Academy, the school of fine arts of Tsinghua University, Queensland College of Art, Shandong University of Art & Design, Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, Hubei Institute of Fine Arts, Nanjing Arts Institute and Communication University of China. It was the second time that the Department of Advertising of the School of Art & Design, ZSTU had taken part in the PIP Festival and contributed excellent works which were highly appraised by photographers from both China and abroad. The juries and other universities and colleges fully appreciated the achievements made by ZSTU who had won the Best New Photographer award for the youngsters for two successive times as a university with no photography majors. Several universities and colleges with photography majors expressed their hope to visit ZSTU and even to introduce our postgraduate students.
