On Dec.30, the award ceremony of Ministry of Education (MOE) Award for Outstanding Achievement in Higher Education Science Research (Humanities and Social Sciences) was held at the Golden Hall of the Great Hall of the People. SCUT has won a first and a second place awards as well as four third place awards. The Research of Strategic Behavior of Chinese Enterprises in Transition, written by LAN Haiping, ZHANG Ping and HUANG Manli from School of Business Administration and published by SCUT Press in 2007, won the first place award, which is also the first time for the Guangdong provincial management research achievement to win the highest honor in the country.
The Research of Strategic Behavior of Chinese Enterprises in Transition written by Prof. LAN Hailin etc. is the main achievement of the Research of China's Strategic Enterprise Management, the key project of The National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). Department of Social Sciences of MOE considered the research as the first key project in the field of strategic enterprise management since the Department of Management Sciences of NSFC was founded, and commented that the research process, method and results unfolded in the book provide a good reference for the academic theory research of China's strategic enterprise management.
