On the afternoon of Mar. 26, Guangdong Xinghai Music Award election was held at the multi-functional conference room of Guangdong Literary Federation. Department of Music from the School of Arts, SCUT, won 5 awards, including 2 gold awards, 1 silver award, 1 bronze award and 1 excellence award.
It is reported that Xinghai Music Award is a comprehensive professional award of the province set by Guangdong Musicians Association. Awards in the symphony category are considered to mark the highest level and be the most difficult to win. The election of symphonic works lasted more than 2 years, and has attracted over 40 works, among which 28 get awarded, including 4 gold awards, 6 silver awards, 8 bronze awards and 10 excellence awards.

Gold award: ZHANG Xiaofeng, Yangko on the string;
LIANG Jun, Tengwang Pavilion
Silver award: MA Bo, Helou impression
Bronze award: ZHANG Xiaofeng, Yearning
Excellence award: LIANG Jun, Memory in the rain
