From April 7 to 9, a 5-member delegation, including Prof. JIANG Benji, Prof. MA Xiaokang and Prof. MA Hongwen from National Taiwan University, Prof. LI Wenzhi from National Cheng Kung University, and Prof. ZHANG Yiyi from Taipei Medical University, visited SCUT on the invitation of School of Environmental Science and Engineering (ESE). Vice-president ZHU Min warmly welcomed the guests. The delegation had a symposium with SCUT scholars, sharing opinions on issues like garbage processing in Guangzhou etc.
On the morning of April 9, SCUT-Taiwan Universities Environmental Seminar was held at ESE. The attending scholars had an in-depth discussion on issues like e-waste processing, integrated watershed management, photo-catalytic materials and source emission inventory.
It is reported that on April 8, on the invitation of Environmental Technology Center of Guangzhou, the delegation and SCUT scholars went to Guangzhou Hotel and had a seminar with the related institutions on urban garbage processing. As a reference for Guangzhou, the Taiwan scholars shared their experience of garbage processing in Taiwan.
