On the morning of March 26, LING Guangzhi, chief editor and vice president of Xinhua News Agency, Guangdong Branch, visited SCUT. President LI Yuanyuan received the visitors in No. 3 Conference Room.
During the meeting, President Li explained in detail about SCUT's school-running targets, concept, and innovative talent cultivating measures, etc. He elaborated on three aspects of innovative talent cultivation in recent years, that is, research affecting teaching via integration of teaching and research, running the school in an open environment via integration of school and society, and creating an education environment via developing campus culture and sports.
Mr. Ling highly commended SCUT on its recent development status and achievements made on innovative talent cultivation. He hoped to conduct more exchanges with SCUT in order to promote talent cultivation.
