Two Provincial Engineering Labs approved to establish at SCUT

Recently, Development and Reform Commission of Guangdong Province officially released the first 12 Provincial Engineering Labs to be established, 2 of which at SCUT, namely, Guangdong OLED Printing Materials & Display Engineering Lab and Guangdong Electric Vehicle Engineering Lab.

Guangdong OLED Printing Material & Displays Engineering Lab, with a focus on R&D of key technologies and products like low-cost TFT active driving array substrates, display screens and AMOLED productive technologies, is supposed to strengthen the original innovation capacity of industrial technology, build advanced display technique R&D test facilities and incubation platform for advanced technologies by 2 years' construction, and transfer research achievements into engineering applications by strengthening industry-education-research cooperation.

Guangdong Electric Vehicle Engineering Lab, with a focus on electric vehicle powertrain & integration, key auto components and parts development, modern body design & manufacturing technology and body and chassis systems & control technologies, is supposed to make breakthrough in the fields of electric vehicle powertrain & integration and key auto components development by 2 years' construction, and dedicate to promote the industrialization of key technologies and components of modern new energy vehicles.
