The Unveiling Ceremony of Jinan University s First Overseas Confucius Institute Launches in South Af

At 3p.m. local time on 23^rd October, the Unveiling Ceremony of Confucius Institute jointly established by Jinan University and the Rhodes University was launched at the Language School of Rhodes University in South Africa. Being commissioned by President Hu Jun, Vice-president Jia Yimin headed a delegation consisted of the members of Confucius Institute Council to attend the ceremony, namely Mr. Guo Xi, Dean of College of Chinese Language and Culture, Mr. Ma Yue, Deputy Director of Chinese Language Promotion Centre as well as Chinese Dean of Confucian Institute, Ms. Yu Huifen, Director of International Affairs Office. In the meantime, the representatives from Rhodes University including President Saleem Badat, Vice President Peter Clayton, Prof. Russell Kaschula, Dean of Language School, Prof. Fred Hendricks, Director of Humanities Department, some teachers and students were present at the ceremony. The reporters from local Media also witnessed the grand event.
