On June 15, the first metro train-set arrived in Shanghai. The car will be put into the test operation of rail transportation on extension Line 1 within this year.
There are 10 sets of six-car with broad aluminum-bodied purchased from CNR Changchun Railway Vehicles Company Limited for extension Line 1. The max. seating capacity reaches 420, ten people more than old cars on Line 1, Line 2 and Line 3. The head is designed in streamline, and the max. speed is 80 km/h.
This is the fourth type car used in Shanghai Subway Company.
