CNR contracted with NORINCO for supply of 160 metro cars for Tehran Urban & Suburban Railways, Iran. CNR president Cui Dianguo, Vice-president Zhao Guangxing, Chairmen of CNR Changchun Railway Vehicle Co., Ltd., Dong Xiaofeng, Chairmen of NORINCO He Xiaodong and President of NORINCO Li Jianmin presented the signing ceremony In December 15.
These cars will be used in Line 4 and suburban extension line of Tehran. There are 160 metro cars for Line 4. They are 20 sets of eight-car train-sets with 4M+4T. Deliveries are scheduled for June, 2006. There are 29 double-deck coaches for suburban extension line. First deliveries were scheduled for later 2007.
