DF7E diesel-electric shunting locomotive was honored 2005 Science and Technology Award of China Railway Society in recently.
DF7E locomotive was developed by CNR Beijing February 7th Locomotive Works in 1999 for the requirement of heavy load transportation. It is designed for the shunting services in large marshalling yards, industry and mine.
The locomotive equipped a 2,200 kW diesel engine, AC auxiliary transmission system and three-axle bogies. It features 25t axle-load, higher traction effort, quick acceleration, reliable operation and easy maintenance. It is running well in hauling 5,000t train.
