LRV project for the second phase of Changchun LRT was put in practice in CNR Changchun Railway Vehicle Co., Ltd. in recently. In June 2, 2004, CNR Changchun Railway Vehicle Co., Ltd. signed a contracted with Changchun Mass Transportation Co., Ltd. for supply of 40 sets 70% low floor LRV. For the reason of capital, the project did not be implemented until now. The Line 2 is 17 Km in length, form Weixinglu to Riyuetan. In order to meet the needs of 2007 Winter Asia Games, the engineers are working hard for drawing design. The first two sets delivery is scheduled for July and 13 train-sets will be put into use before the opening of 2007 Winter Asia Games.
The car features aluminum alloy broad-body and hydraulic brake system. Passengers will feel very convenience in getting up or off for adapting low floor.
