A bid was awarded to CNR Tangshan Locomotive & Rolling Stock Works for supply of 100 coach bogies for Pakistan on May 24, 2004.
The Ministry of Railway of Pakistan made this international competitive bidding in the end of 2003. There were eight foreign companies including Germany, India, Iran, etc. participating this competition and Tangshan Plant won last.
The track gauge is 1,676mm. The first 30 bogies will be delivered in April 2005.
