TCL Multimedia Appoints Leong Yue Wing as CEO and Executive Director

17 September 2007- TCL Multimedia Technology Holdings Limited ("TCL Multimedia" or the "Group"; stock code: 1070) today announced that Mr Leong Yue Wing has been appointed as the chief executive officer ("CEO") and executive director of the Group with effect from 1 October 2007, responsible for the overall management of the Group including strategy, business development and operations.

Having worked at Royal Philips Electronics for 28 years, Mr Leong has been thoroughlyinvolved in the production and marketing of audio-visual and consumer electronics products.When he retired from the company in April 2007, he was Executive Vice President of Philips Consumer Electronics.

"Mr Leong's experience in the electronic industry and his management in an internationally renowned enterprise will contribute to the Group's continued internationalisation development, and will help to further strengthen the Group's collaboration with its global strategic partners." TCL Multimedia Chairman Li Dongsheng said.

With Mr. Leong Yue Wing's appointment, Mr Li Dongsheng will no longer hold the position of Managing Director of TCL Multimedia but will continue to serve as Chairman of the Group. The new CEO's appointment of the Group is in line with corporate governance practices stipulated in the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and will further enhance the Group's corporate governance.
