The Grand Conference of TCL Global Customers took place recently in Xi an. The first plenary session for TCL Corporation s international divisions, the conference was an important event to celebrate the tenth anniversary of TCL Corporation s overseas operations. Close to 200 representatives of the company s overseas market from more than 40 countries and regions attended the conference.

TCL Chairman of the Board and President Li Dongsheng personally awarded prizes to the top ten sales representatives in recognition and encouragement of the sales representatives who have been committed to growing with TCL Corporation and high performance.

It has been ten years since TCL Corporation, one of China s earliest enterprises going international, first entered the Vietnam market in 1999. TCL Corpoation s overseas operations now cover such areas as Europe, Americas, India, and Russia. With help from local partners, TCL-owned TV brands like TCL, RCA, Thomson, and ROWA and mobile phone brands like TCL and Alcatel have successfully entered emerging markets like China, Southeast Asia, and Latin America, and are actively expanding into the North American and European markets.

With close to 50% of TCL Corporation s total sales currently contributed by overseas markets, the company s efforts to become international in the last ten years have begun to bear fruit.

At the conference, Li Dongsheng stated that, amidst the backdrop of global recession, China has already become a major stabilizing and recovering force in the global economy. For Chinese enterprises, the opportunities presented by the global financial crisis are more significant than the challenges it brought.

With TCL products such as TV, air conditioner, mobile phone, laundry machine, and lighting products going into the world markets, TCL Corporation have seen growth in the first half of 2009 despite the recession. The company s performance gives consumers all over the world a chance to understand China and have faith in "Made in China.

" Such developments mark the win-win result of the cooperative efforts of every TCL sales representative. From now on, TCL Corporation will further strengthen its resolve to advance its international strategy and provide consumers all over the world with more and better products and services.

The recently released August TCL Corporation sales report shows outstanding year-on-year growth in TV and mobile phone sales. The overseas markets performed especially well. TCL Corpoation s August LCD TV sales in North America, Europe, and emerging markets saw year-on-year growth of 366.4%, 200.4%, and 215.3%, respectively. Year-on-year growth in overseas mobile phone sales reached 26.32%.
