After one year s running test, new transport equipments offered by CSR for the sixth railway speed-increase in China, such as the high-speed electric multiple units EMU, high-power locomotives and heavy freight wagons have won the wide recognition of the railway sector and social public. Up to now, CSR has accumulatively delivered 95 trains of harmony EMU with the speed of 200 kilometers per hour, as well as 117 harmony type high-power electric locomotives.
These main-force equipments of international advanced level have not only guaranteed the historical increase of national railway passenger and freight traffic, but also represented that the national railway equipment manufacturing industry is developed by leaps and bounds in the large speed-increase.
Narrowing the distance between time and space, letting the world turns smaller. This is the most profound feeling of Chinese ordinary people to high-speed EMU, a new transport tool. During this year of speed-increase, CRH2 and CRH1 type high-speed EMU manufactured by CSR made 80% of the launched national EMU, with the running lines covering 10 of the 11 lines.
EMU running inter-city of Beijing-Guangzhou, Beijing-Shanghai, Shanghai-Hangzhou, Jiaoji, Xian-Baoji and Guangzhou-Shenzhen has, by the advantageous characteristics of novel, comfortableness, convenience and safety, brought life benefits, such as bus-train and airbus in the ground to Chinese ordinary people.
Through the implementation of 200 km/h EMU project, CSR has fully set up the international advanced high-speed EMU designing and manufacturing platform, and independently developed the first Chinese EMU whose speed reaches 300 and more kilometers per hour in the end of last year. During the Olympic Games period, this new high-speed train will be put into operation in Beijing-Tianjin traffic line.
In Daqin railway, the golden passage of coal transportation, CSR s manufacturing Harmony 1 type high-power EMU and freight wagon with the loaded capacity of more than 70 tons became the main-force equipments for the rush transport of power generation coals to support disaster areas, as well as the one whose transport volume was over 300 million tons in Daqin line.
Till now, Harmony 1 type locomotives have already made 80% of those in Daqin line. Everyday, with 20 thousand tons heavy loaded and combined mode, and hanging 210 C80 type freight wagons of full coals, they ran to Qinhuangdao in order to satisfy the increasing national demand for power generation coals.
Railway speed-increase constantly speeds up the development of railway equipment industry. It is reported that CSR s 350-400 km/h high-speed EMUs designed and manufactured for Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway are also pressing on with developing. This independently developed project belongs to the high-speed train independent innovation joint action plan which is jointly promoted by State Ministry of Science and Technology and Ministry of Railways.
