CSR won the order of Battery- Electric Locomotives from Singapore LTA

On June 1^st 2009, CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd.hereinafter CSR ZELC was awarded Contract 977- Battery-Electric Locomotive Project by Land Transport Authority of Singapore with the amount of 14 units. It is the first time for ZELC s metro product to enter international market of developed country.

This batch of metro engineering maintenance vehicles, which were independently developed by CSR ZELC and has proprietary intellectual property rights, will be delivered in batches from 2011. These engineering maintenance vehicles will serve on Downtown Line of Singapore MRT network and ensure the normal operation of the lines.

In the area of rail transportation,CSR ZELC is it is not only the only enterprise that has exported the whole electric locomotive in China, but also the enterprise in which the first self-industrialized metro high-end type A car was developed. CSR ZELC has world-class strength in technological innovation, equipment and manufacturing capacity. Therefore, it is qualified in developing various types of electric locomotives and MRT vehicles both in domestic and overseas rail transportation market.
