Sunwin Supply Expo 2010 with Quality New Energy Buses

To implement the guideline of SAIC s Oath-taking Rally to Accelerate New Energy Vehicle Development, Shanghai Sunwin Bus Corporation mobilized all the employees for a strong synergy under the centralized arrangement of SAIC s Commercial Vehicle Business Department. The corporation worked out solutions to tough technical issues which it had straightened out, took improved measures for better management, and made good preparations for all the work before the start of a new round of trial-making and the serial production of new energy buses.

The corporation said that it would turn pressure into motive force, never fail to provide a strong bracing support to the project, meet all the project schedules, forge ahead in spite of all difficulties, and infallibly ensure the completion of the new energy bus trial-making for the World Expo 2010 and the fulfillment of the annual economic targets set by the Board of Directors.

The corporation is aware that making new energy buses for the World Expo Shanghai is not only an economic work, but also an important political mission, for which all the employees should be mobilized and in which they should be led to a dedicated participation. To this end the corporation held an oath-taking meeting attended by employees from the various levels, such as expatriate representatives, workshop managers, employee representatives, technical managerial cadres, etc.

and they all pledged themselves to the complete fulfillment of the tasks. To guarantee the scheduled parts supply to the making of new energy buses, the corporation also called an oath-taking rally of the parts suppliers, where letters of contracted responsibility were signed between the corporation and the suppliers.

As the hot summer of the year is a peak season for the bus-making industry, the corporation will work out detailed production programs in advance, make elaborate production arrangements and leave enough capacity for the making of new energy buses in addition to filling the orders for normal public buses in Shanghai.

To ensure a smooth and successful serial production of new energy buses, the labor union of the corporation gave an active support by conducting a Pioneer emulation drive. In addition, the corporation has also done a good job of preventing heat stroke and cooling down the work place, as well as ensuring safe production, with a view to improving the working environment, giving adequate attention to production safety, and relieving the employees from their worries.

In this way the working initiatives of the employees have been fully displayed.

So far, a prototype of super capacitor bus developed by the Sunwin has made its first appearance, and the buses are expected to formally go off the production line in the coming June and provide a demonstrative service on the public bus lines of Shanghai. Moreover, the corporation will carry out the second round trial manufacture of pure-electric buses, hybrid buses and fuel cell buses in support of the SAIC Commercial Vehicle Technical Center.
