Baosteel Signed MOU for Strategic Cooperation with Lausanne Institute

Recently Baosteel signed MOU for strategic cooperation with Lausanne International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Baoshan Hotel. Chairman Xu Lejiang of Group Corporation attended the signing ceremony and met President John R. Wells of IMD.

As one of the top international business schools, IMD mainly trains and fosters senior executives for large global enterprises. According to the strategic cooperation agreement between both parties, IMD will provide Baosteel with effective strategy design to address the global market challenges; foster the organizing capacity required by global leading enterprises and provide the senior executives with the development guidance on leadership.

Moreover, the senior executives of Baosteel will discuss the latest management philosophy with the professors of IMD. Both parties will carry out cooperative research for the courses such as corporate strategy and operational management and share the achievements of the research.

Xu Lejiang pointed out in the meeting that this financial crisis came like a hundred of bricks and Baosteel is confronted with tremendous challenges. The management must judge the hour and size up the situation, analyze and reflect on the forming course of the financial crisis, to sum up experiences and lessons, seek the positive and avoid the negative. He wished IMD can cooperate with Baosteel to carry out research in the aspect. John R. Wells said, Baosteel is a global enterprise, and IMD is willing to use its advantageous faculty to strengthen the strategic cooperation with Baosteel, so as to further elevate the level of Baosteel s management team.
