Bao-Hitachi Metal Roll (Nan Tong ) Co., ltd. on Production

The construction completion and production-on ceremony of Bao-Hitachi Metal Roll (Nan Tong ) Co., ltd. invested and established by Baosteel and Japan Hitachi Metal is held in the morning of 24th October. Mr. Xu Lejiang, the chairman of Baosteel Group, Mr. Eda Tetuya, honorary adviser of Hitachi Metal and Mr. Ding Dawei, the mayor and vice secretary municipal committee of the CPC of Nan Tong City together pushed the production start button.

Mr. He Wenbo, the president of Baosteel Group, Mr. Shen Zhengxin, vice mayor of Nan Tong City, Mr. Mochida Nobuo, president of Hitachi Metal and 200 relevant delegates from Chinese major steel plants, project design and construction team and Nan Tong Economic & Technology Development Zone also presented the ceremony.

Bao-Hitachi Metal Roll (Nan Tong ) Co., ltd. is set by joint venture of 65 million dollars invested by Baosteel and Hitachi Metal, the construction started in the September of 2006. Trail production started on the basis of completion of equipment combined test in April the year. The plant aims at world-wide thing strip hot rolling plants as potential clients and provides high quality hot rolling mill work rolls produced with centrifugally cast and static cast, etc. According to the schedule, the monthly output of the plant will be 1400 tons by 2011.
