Chengdu Baosteel Can Making Co., Ltd. Starts Production

On June 30, Chengdu Baosteel Can Making Co., Ltd. was grandly inaugurated. Chairman of Baosteel Group Corporation Xu Lejiang, Deputy Party Secretary of CPC Chengdu Municipal Committee and Mayor of Chengdu Ge Honglin started the pop can production line of Chengdu Baosteel Can Making Co., Ltd. together (as shown in the picture). Vice President of Baosteel Group Corporation Dai Zhihao and Vice Mayor of Chengdu Bai Gang, etc. attended the ceremony.

Chengdu Baosteel Can Making Co., Ltd. is located in the industrial development zone in Xindu District Chengdu with a total investment of RMB 330 million yuan. Its products are the two-piece steel pop cans for the packaging of many renowned beverage brands such as Coca Cola, Pepsi Cola, Snow Beer and Yanjing Beer.

The production speed of the line is 1200 cans per minute, and the annual production capacity can be up to 460 million steel pop cans. As the demand in the western market increases, Chengdu Baosteel Can Making Co., Ltd. will add investment for technical revamping to the original line, to form an annual capacity to produce 600 million steel pop cans.

Now Baosteel has built steel pop can lines in Shanghai, Hebei and Guangdong Foshan. The inauguration of Chengdu Baosteel Can Making Co., Ltd. is an extension of Baosteel's steel processing project in the western area. Relying on Baosteel's advantageous resources from raw material production to final users, the company will base its business in Chengdu to develop the western market, and constitute a nationwide manufacture and service network system for steel two-piece pop cans together with Shanghai Baoyi Can Making Co., Ltd., Hebei Baosteel Can Making Northern Co., Ltd. and Guangdong Foshan Baosteel Can Making Co., Ltd., so as to provide various users with the service of higher efficiency, better quality and more varied products, and further strengthen Baosteel's steel processing business.
