Baosteel First Lot of Disaster-Relief Materials Arrived at Anxian

Baosteel disaster-relief materials in 7 carrier vehicles arrived at severely afflicted area Anxian County, Mianyang, Sichuan at 15:00 May 16.

Two days ago, Baosteel vehicle group carrying relief-materials set off in Shanghai. Each vehicle, with 2 drivers for shifting, ran day and night. The drivers did not "stop for meals"; their meals were merely "Babao Porridge"- canned porridge with 8 nutritious ingredients. Covering 2350 km in 69 hours, Baosteel relief-material carrier group arrived at disaster area Mianyang, Sichuan. Under the arrangement of Mianyang Earthquake-Fight Headquarters, Baosteel relief-material carrier group delivered 2000 quilts, 500 tents, 40,000 batteries, 10,000 flash lights, 200 radios, 20 ton (50,000 tins) pork luncheon meat to severely afflicted area Anxian County.
