Xi Jinping visited the Special Steel Branch of Baosteel Co., Ltd.

On the afternoon of April 24th, Xi Jinping, Secretary of Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, accompanied by Vice Mayor Hu Yanzhao, visited the Special Steel Branch of Baosteel Co., Ltd. Xie Qihua, Xu Lejiang, Liu Guosheng, Ai Baojun, Ou Yang Yingpeng and Fu Zhongzhe, etc. awaited the arrival of him warmly in front of the headquarter building of the Special Steel Branch.

Being introduced by leaders of Baosteel and having visited the stainless long products production line, Xi Jinping was inspired by the ever growing development of Baosteel and extended his greetings to Baosteel employees taking the opportunity of the coming May Day.

Xu lejiang, Chairman of the Board of Baosteel Group Corporation reported on production, operation and construction, key work of reforming and development and future development plan of Baosteel. Accompanied by leaders of Baosteel, Xi Jinping visited stainless long products production line. Along the mill line extending for one kilometer, Xie Wei, President of the Special Steel Branch introduced production process and product applications to him.

Xi Jinping said he was inspired by the great achievements of Baosteel. Before long, World Top 500 was only a target for Baosteel to strive for, but nowadays, Baosteel makes progress every year in terms of ranking among World Top 500. Xi Jinping pointed out that achievements of Baosteel on construction has fully expressed the excellent wisdom and strength of Chinese working class.

We shall firmly cling to the working class with all out heart, firmly bring main force of the working class into play and firmly safeguard their position. Achievements of Baosteel demonstrate that stateowned enterprises can also do well in the development. By achieving advanced level in the world, Baosteel has taken a leadership among the national steel mills and convinced us of developing the stateowned enterprises well.
