Complete set of RH refining device of Baosteel going abroad

Scientific and research people with Baosteel Engineering & Equipment Co., Ltd. (BSEE) engaged in furnace refining are busy with Yuandai's project of Korea in tense but in order. Contracted by Japanese, two sets of RH refining devices, the core part of the refining of the large steel complex are BSEE's general responsibility, which means after contracting over ten RH refining projects in China, Baosteel, having the whole set of RH refining device with his own intellectual property right, is going abroad for the first time.

For 20 years, Baosteel has experienced four stages. They are: import of complete set ---- import through menu ordering ----- self-integration ----- self-innovation, incarnating that the people of Baosteel are apt at absorbing and digesting foreign advanced technology and good at having consciousness and ability of integration and innovation.

In 1994, Baosteel menu-ordered top launce and steam injection vacuum pump technology from abroad for No.3 RH project, which have apparently optimized vacuum degassing, de-carbon capacity and energy consumption indexes. In 1999, Baosteel used successfully for the first time the self-design and manufacturing and technology integration method in the RH technical revamping project of No.

1 steel making plant, efficiently reduced the investment cost. No.1 RH revamping of Baosteel putting into use at the end of 2004 is a milestone of Baosteel in this domain, which took only 42 days to complete all the revamping items. Of which, the complete equipment of RH was manufactured in China, not only equipped with multi-functional top launce researched and developed by ourselves and possessing the intellectual property right, and four-stage steam injection vacuum pump system, but also improving the process performance of utility valve stand and control system, indicating that the core technology of Baosteel's complete set of RH refining device has reached the world-wide advanced level.

In recently years, Baosteel has been constantly exploring and improving RH refining equipment manufacturing and process technology and meanwhile, gradually speeding up the industrialization progress of the advanced technology. In 2006, Baosteel's RH equipment and technology that have gradually matured in terms of process and function began technology output to Xingtai Steel, Capital Steel, Shaoguan Steel and Baotou Steel in the way of contracting projects.

Two RH refining devices contracted by Baosteel for Yuandai Steel Mill of Korea are scheduled to putting into use by the end of next year. Of which, BSEE will use Baosteel's know-how with our own intellectual property right in the aspect of steam injection pump, ladle lifting hydraulic system, top launce and pre-heating launce, computer, instrument and electric control system as well as metallurgical process control model, etc.
