Baosteel Research Center established the Iron-making Institute

Recently, Baosteel research center held a opening ceremony for its newly-established iron-making new technology research institute. Chairman of Baosteel Group, Mr. Xu Lejiang attended the ceremony and instructed that we shall fully exert our advantages, track the trend of the modern iron-making new technology worldwide, solve the problems concerning company development such as resources, energy, environment, sustainable development, etc. via self-innovation, and speed up the research and application of iron-making new technology.

The iron-making new technology research institute will be responsible for the scientific research on Baosteel BF iron-making and non-BF iron-making technology, mainly focusing on coking and coal-utilization, sintering and ore-utilization, BF and non-BF technologies; the institute will concentrate its research power to solve the difficulties, assuring the stable, efficient and environment-friendly operation of Baosteel new iron-making equipments. Meanwhile, the iron-making new technology research institute will become the iron-making new technology research base and the talents training base, preparing for the future innovation and development of Baosteel iron-making technology.
