1880 Hot Rolling Project Hoisted the Main Mill Housing 15 Days in Advance

On 30th June, the first mill housing of the finishing mill of the main rolling line of Baosteel 1880 Hot Rolling Project was hoisted in place. It marks that the project has gone into the peak of equipment erection. This mile stone was implemented 15 days in advance over the original schedule. Xu Lejiang, general manager of Baosteel Group, Mr. Ai Baojun, general manager of Baosteel Ltd., Mr. Li Haiping, vice general manager of Baosteel Ltd., Mr. Zhao Zhouli, vice general manager of Baosteel Ltd. and secretary of the Party Committee of Baosteel Branch, Mr. Li Yong, general manager of MCC 20, Mr.

Konishi Masahide, president of the board and general manager of Mitsubishi Corporation China Co., Ltd., chiefs of various functional departments or rooms of Baosteel, and leaders of design, construction, equipment, and quality supervising units participating the construction of 1880 Hot Rolling Project.

1880 Hot Rolling Project is one of the key "11th five year plan" projects of Baosteel Branch. The design annual capacity is 3,700,000 tons. Once it is started up, it will contribute to raise further the ratio of "double high" products, such as automotive steel and high strength steel. The finishing rolling area or bid section 2 of 1880 Hot Rolling Project is constructed by MCC 20, designed by Mitsubishi Corporation, Mitsubishi-Hitachi, TMEIC, and CISDI.

The mill housings were manufactured by Baoling Heavy & Industrial Machinery.
