Three Main Stainless Steel Projects of Baosteel Have Been Awarded Luban Prize Simultaneously

2005 China Building Engineering Luban Award has been made known to the public recently and Baosteel stainless steel project is the only project in the domestic steel industry that was awarded this time. Three main projects of steel making, continuous casting and hot rolling were simultaneously awarded, which has created a new record in the history of Luban prize awarding.

China Building Engineering Luban Award, which is held once a year, is the highest prize in the building engineering field in China. All these three projects produce stainless steel and carbon steel plates and coils and have gone through first-hand investigation and review of quality by experts organized by China Construction Industry Association.

It is unprecedented in the history of Luban awarding that all main part of three projects being awarded simultaneously, which is also the first Luban Award among Baosteel's "The Tenth-Five-Year" plan projects.
