Baosteel Becomes a Formal Member of the International Iron and Steel Association

Recently, the International Iron and Steel Association held its 38th conference in Istanbul Turkey, accepting China Iron and Steel Association, Shanghai Baosteel Group Corporation, Anshan Steel, Wuhan Steel, Capital Steel and Handan Steel as its formal members. Wu Xichun, chairman of China Iron and Steel Association, Xie Qihua, chairman and president of Shanghai Baosteel Group Corporation as well as the top management of the leading steel makers in China attended the Council Meeting of the International Iron and Steel Association.

China's entrance into the International Iron and Steel Association will help China to strengthen the exchange of information and personnel in international steel circle and enlarge China's cooperation and intercourse with international peers in science and technology, trading and enterprise management, solidifying China's position as an important member in the world steel industry.
