On Oct. 19, Xie Qihua, chairwoman and president of Shanghai Baosteel Group Corporation and He Wenbo, vice president of Baosteel met with a Japanese delegation led by Nomura, chairman of Daiichi Chuo Kisen Kaisha (mainly deals with marine transportation). Baosteel had a long-term iron ore transport contract with Daiichi Chuo Kisen Kaisha. Xie introduced China's demand on iron ore and Baosteel's new development strategy to the guests and the two sides expressed that they would continue to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the future.
