A grand Commissioning Ceremony was convened for No. 2 converter of the 2nd Steel Works of Shougang Shuicheng Iron & Steel (Group) Co., Ltd. on March 9, 2011. This project was undertaken by WISDRI Engineering & Research Incorporation Ltd. (WISDRI) on an EPC basis.
The project was commenced on May 17, 2010, and fulfilled within a construction period of 10 months. Despite of the effect due to the tough climate, WISDRI completed the project execution over 20 days ahead of the completion date stipulated in the contract and thus generated a benefit for the Employer.
Under this works, the new wet dedusting process for flue gas, which was developed by the Heating, Ventilating and Dedusting Division of WISDRI, was put into application for the first time and proved to be a success. And this has created a brand new ear for industrialization of the environment-friendly dust removal process for converter.
