Classic Revolutionary Works Recital Held on Orange Isle

As a special event of "Sanxiang Reading Month", the Classic Revolutionary Works Recital was held on the Orange Isle on November 28. Provincial leaders including Lu Jianping, Xiao Yayu and Wei Yongjing,and municipal leaders such as Chen Zehui and He Jihua attended the activity. Wang Feng, Yi Pei and other famous recitors staged their performance.
Audiences are passionate while hearing the reading of such familiar revolutionary literature as How the Steel Was Tempered (excerpt), Some People and Lovely China. A 65-year-old Changde tourist said, "Revolutionary spirits and classic literature can not be abandoned although times have changed."
It was learned that in order to create a good reading atmosphere, Hunan proclaimed November as "Sanxiang Reading Month" since 2009. A series of activities were carried out in this November focusing on the theme of "advocating the public to read and jointly build civilized Hunan".
