In recent years Chinese Shoemakers met a lot of sufferings in overseas market, many of them began turning to internal market from foreign trade. The industrial experts propose to these transformed enterprises that four steps should be taken while expanding domestic market.
First is setting a clear position for their product in internal market and their targeting comsumers. Second is their determination, many foreign-oriented enterprises take the internal market as a supplementary for the foreign trade, they wouldn't put more on expansion internal market while the booming of foreign market, due to heavily depending on foreign trade they are hesitated on the investment to expand domestic market. Third is these companies should understand their own advantages and weaknesses. They have strong power in production, but have a little experience in marketing skills. The fourth is to draw up a strategic marketing plan, the industrial experts suggested that foreign trade companies should avoid the competition in leather shoe and sports shoe because they are dominated by shoemakers in Wenzhou and Quanzhou, and try to seek the less competitive market such as sandal, shoes made with synthetic materials or children s shoes, so far no brand has taken dominated position in these markets and leaving more room for the newcomers.
