Lishui Group won one sliver and two bronze prizes in China Wooden (Bamboo) Sculpture Exhibition and Excellent Products Selection

2009 China Wooden (Bamboo) Sculpture Exhibition and Excellent Products Selection is the highlight of 2009 China Yiwu International Forest Products Fair, in which excellent products and engravers were selected on November 2nd. Lishui group won one silver and two bronze prizes.

There were 108 companies attending the Wooden (Bamboo) Sculpture Exhibition on which masterpieces of wooden sculpture, bamboo sculpture and root sculpture from all over the country were displayed. Lishui government organized over 200 pieces of works from 8 companies (or individuals) to attend the exhibition.

16 root sculpture works were in the selection for excellent products of Chinese wooden (bamboo) sculpture. Through experts' selection, Li Chenbiao's Lotus-Picking Music won silver prize. Ye Xiayan's River South in Rain from Tianxi Root Sculpture Factory in Suichang County and Sun Weixiang's Love Knot from Lishui Green Valley Root Sculpture Institution won bronze prizes.

Plentiful resources for root sculpture in Lishui bred a long history of root sculpture creation. A large group of root sculpture masterpieces have come into existence over years, which has made a great influence in the artistic circle home and abroad. In 2006, Lishui was entitled "Town of Root Sculpture in China". Nowadays, root sculpture products in Lishui are being exhibited and sold in many scenic spots in China. Meanwhile, they are sold to dozens of countries and regions in the world.
