Shaanxi will stick to the strategy of building a western province with powerful economy and vigorously introduce high-level and urgently needed talent from overseas in this year, the provincial work meeting on introduction of overseas talent said on March 10.
Ge Xiangqian, director of Shaanxi department of human resources and social security, said that Shaanxi will launch the 1,000-people Talent Introduction Project and introduce oversea high-level talent in 2011. Shaanxi will also improve the working mechanism, policies and measure of introducing overseas high-level talent and enhance the support for high-level talent and innovative groups who come to start their own businesses in Shaanxi. Moreover, Shaanxi will build a green channel for overseas high-level talent and comprehensively improve the internationalization level of talent.
Shaanxi will follow the Development Plan of Guanzhong-Tianshui Economic Zone, focus on key projects and programs, strengthen the classified instruction, and provide overseas intellectual support for the coordinated regional economic development of the province. And the province will concentrate on providing international talent for the development of modern energy and chemical industry, modern equipment manufacturing industry, strategic emerging industry and modern service industry, and promote the innovative development of Guanzhong, the sustainable development of northern Shaanxi and the accelerated development of southern Shaanxi.
Furthermore, Shaanxi will enhance the support for the cultivation of innovative talent, urgently needed talent, strategic reserve talent, and provide overseas intellectual support for Xi an High-tech Zone to build a world-class scientific park.
