Nestl Dongguan factory plans to invest 0.5 billion yuan in Dongguan, as Mr. Bula, President of Nestle Greater China Region revealed during an interview with the city's Party Secretary Mr. Liu Zhigeng on February 15, 2011. The fund will be used to establish a new coffee production line, which may double the production capacity in Dongguan.
Located in the new Central Business Center of Dongguan, the environment problems have affected Nestl 's decision of whether to expand investment for quite a long time. Now the selection of a new location for the factory in the city is under consideration.
Currently, Nestl has founded three factories in Guangdong Province, two of which are located in Dongguan. It paid the most tax among foreign-invested companies in Dongguan last year.
